What is Boot Hockey?
Boot hockey is a combination of hockey and broomball using a hockey stick, broomball shoes and a foam puck.
- 4 players plus a goalie with 2, 12 min periods
- Games are played on half ice with regulation hockey nets
- Hockey helmet with full cage is required; Goggin provides at no cost
- Hockey Stick is required; each player must provide own
Broomball and Ice Hockey leagues are offered at the start of each school. This is a great time to join a Beginner League and find out about these great Intramural programs!

I'VE NEVER PLAYED BEFORE!
Beginner Leagues are offered for Ice Hockey during all 3 sessions.
Beginner Broomball leagues are offered for Men's, Women's and Co-Rec teams during both the Fall and Winter sessions. A Broomball beginner must have NO previous experience and can only be a beginner for ONE season. You then "graduate" to regular broomball leagues.
WHO CAN PLAY?
Leagues are open to Miami Students / Alumni / Faculty and members of the Oxford Community

| Division I - For players who have played a high level of amateur hockey (AAA, AA, Juniors) or a top level high school player. Slap shots allowed. | Traditional includes 8 games each plus playoffs for $165.
Leagues include Women's Men's and Co-Rec |
| Division II - or players who have played high schoo level hockey or a lower level of amateur hockey. slap shots allowed. | Fraternity includes 8 games each plus playoffs for $165. |
| Division III - For players who have played hockey before but do not have an extensive playing background. Graduates of the beginner league and high school junior varsity leagues are preferred backgrounds. No slap shots allowed. | BOOT HOCKEY |
| Beginner - For players that have very little experience playing the game. No slap shots allowed. | Includes 8 games for $165. NO slap shots allowed. A: For players who have played a high level of amateur hockey or high school hockey (DI/DII equivalent). |
| 3v3 HOCKEY | B: For players who have played hockey before but have a limited playing background (DIII/Beginner equivalent). |
